Fly the Flag for Human Rights

Fly the Flag 70

Telegraph Museum Porthcurno is proud to be participating in the national programme Fly the Flag with artist Ai Weiwei which commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights.

At Telegraph Museum Porthcurno we recognise the synergy between our own story of global connectivity and cooperation and the symbolism and impact of international human rights.

Artist Commission

For our Fly the Flag project we are working with Cornish artist and flag maker, Lucy Birbeck to commission a set of three large flags to be situated on the grounds of our museum.

Community Celebration

Our Cable Stitchers Volunteers team have been busy creating knitted bunting flags for diversity which will be on display and all visitors will be able to design their very own flag for Human Rights at our Museum. We hope to see all your finished designs shared online!
