Our Archive Centre – The Wilshaw Building at PK Porthcurno – houses the business archive of Cable & Wireless, with its roots dating back to 1870 and the laying of the first underwater cable out of Porthcurno.

The museum’s enviable archive includes thousands of unique records from Porthcurno’s lasting communication legacy, including detailed staff records dating back to the first telegraph companies.

Look into the archive and its fabulous collection of stories to uncover links to your past or fill gaps in your research project.

• Your preferred dates for visiting
• Your area of research

Please allow four working days for a response. You will be contacted regarding availability and asked to confirm the date of your visit.

Your booking will be confirmed by email and you will be sent guidelines for using the Search Room. Be sure to read this carefully before you arrive. Please give us as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel your visit.
