What’s on? Easter at PK Porthcurno – 2026
Join us this Easter at PK Porthcurno for a variety of family-friendly workshops and activities for all ages, commissioned by Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator.

WORKSHOP: PRESS. PRINT. SHARE.
Tuesday 07 + 14 April | 13:00-15:00
This hands-on family workshop explores how messages were shared in the past — and how they continue to influence us today.
Discover the printing press and the power of propaganda, then create your own bold, positive posters using simple printmaking techniques to take home. Along the way, families are encouraged to think about how words and images shape ideas.
Museum admission is not required.

WORKSHOP: AMAZING IDEAS
Thursday 09 April | 13:00-15:00
The interactive family workshop, Amazing Ideas, brings AI to life using Micro:bits. Get hands-on, experiment with coding, and discover how artificial intelligence works by creating your own mini projects together.
Open to all ages, anyone under 10 years must be accompanied by their parent/carer(s).
Museum admission is not required.

WORKSHOP: SPOT THAT BOT
Thursday 16 April | 13:00-15:00
Spot the Bot looks to uncover how to identify bot-generated content while exploring how words and images influence the way we think. Along the way, you’ll gain useful online safety tips to take home and share.
Open to all ages, anyone under 10 years must be accompanied by their parent/carer(s).
Museum admission is not required.

FAKE NEWSFLASH TRAIL
COLLECT YOURS FROM THE FRONT DESK
Come and be recruited by Ernest Smellingway, our trusty bloodhound with a nose for fake news! He’s discovered that a flock of messenger pigeons has escaped into the museum — and some have gone rogue, spreading misleading stories.
Your mission is to track them down, investigate the messages they’re sharing, and decide what’s real and what’s fake. With Ernest by your side, can you sniff out the truth before it’s too late?
What will you believe…? 🕵️♂️🐦
