Forest Friends
Forest Friends is a new forest school-inspired sensory workshop designed for children under 5 with their grown-ups, where stories come to life in a magical outdoor setting. These all-weather, outdoor sessions will be inspired by favourite children’s stories and seasonal themes exploring the creative and practical use of tools and natural materials. Be dressed and ready for muddy play, sitting around a campfire and enjoying handmade toasty treats!
Elise Wilson, a local forest school leader and creative practitioner, will lead each session of Forest Friends, with support from our learning facilitator and resident artist, Mae Voogd.
Following each session, you are invited to warm up in the museum café which provides a selection of hot drinks and food!
For attendees, it is free to park in the Porthcurno Car Park.
Upcoming Events
Monday 27 January | The Rainbow Fish | 10:30 – Midday
Our next session is based on the popular children’s book, The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.
There’s something fishy happening in our next Forest Friends session as we dive into the delightful tale of The Rainbow Fish! We shall be exploring with clay and inviting children to set sail on our forest friend’s raft for some imaginative role play, and of course, there will be some cooking on the fire if the weather allows.
Spaces are very limited, to reserve your slot, please use the ‘Book Here’ button.
Tickets available from Friday 17th January
