Morgy The Giant Squid

Morgy The Giant Squid

Visit our museum gardens to meet Morgy, an interactive sound-experience which brings people together and explores ideas of human connectedness.

In association with Italian/Portuguese design collective Moradavaga, we present Morgy, the newest member of Moradavaga’s family of giant sea creatures. Unlike most underwater monsters, Morgy and its relatives have a friendly character, and aim to connect people from all walks of life, beliefs and age groups through a game-like sound experience. Morgy has emerged at PK Porthcurno to join our celebrations of the 150th anniversary of the first telegraph communication between Great Britain and India, and to pay homage the all the people, past and present, who have contributed to the hyper-connected society we enjoy today.

Download our Morgy App for a digital trail around Porthcurno. Discover where the Red Sea Line landed, plus eight other places around the world, to receive discounted entry to the museum and a special Squid Squad badge for completing the trail.

UPDATE 2021: UNFORTUNATELY MORGY IS UNABLE TO VISIT US THIS YEAR, BUT WE HOPE TO WELCOME HIM IN 2022!
